Sophie Quire and the Last Storyguard: A Peter Nimble Adventure

Sophie Quire is the daughter of the most famous bookseller in her village. One day, she is sent on a quest by a mysterious person. Along the way, she meets some interesting characters, including a young boy who helps her but challenges her as well. In the end she has learned a lot about herself and her character.

“We read constantly, trading stories back and forth, arguing, quoting, exploring, falling ever deeper under the love of books.”

Sophie Quire and the Last Storyguard: A Peter Nimble Adventure is very interesting and the action is non-stop. The story goes slowly, but if the reader hangs in there, the book gets a lot more exciting in chapter 9. Sophie’s love of books is wonderful. The other boy can be dumb at times, but he really helps Sophie with her problems. Sophie is pretty well developed and by the end of the book Sophie is a very well developed character. The fact that the boy is blindfolded means that he sometimes does the same thing over and over again. But at the end of the book he has learned not to make the same mistakes over again. This book would be good for ages 10-16.
