I LOVE cookbooks! I don’t enjoy cooking. It’s weird but not unheard of – good intentions but no follow through. With Trisha’s Table: My Feel-Good Favorites for a Balanced Life, Trisha Yearwood’s newest cookbook filled with her favorite recipes that have been modified to fit her healthier lifestyle, non-cooks will be eager to rush to the kitchen!
“It’s almost too easy to be called a recipe. I call that perfection!”
The dishes sound so delicious and easy. The pages are filled with photos, more of her family and friends than of the recipes. The recipes are uncomplicated with simple, easy to find (you know what I’m talking about, non-cooks) ingredients and Yearwood also includes tips and hints for some of the dishes. There are some unusual recipes, like Black Pepper Tofu with Soy Dipping Sauce which sounds pretty amazing, but there are more traditional dishes like Chicken Enchiladas and other comfort-type foods. There are also lots of vegan friendly dishes, too. Trisha adds short anecdotes for each recipes, which are fun and give fans insight to her life. One feature that would be great to see in a future edition would be the inclusion of nutritional information for each recipes. This is a really great addition to a collection for Yearwood & Garth Brooks fans or just cookbook fans!
