Description
Flubby is a cat who lives with his human friend, Kami. One day, the snow keeps falling until the outdoors becomes a winter wonderland. Well, at least for some, anyway. Kami wants Flubby to play outside, but Flubby does not like the cold. At first, his paws are cold, so Kami gives him boots. Then, his back is cold, so Kami finds a coat for Flubby. Finally, Flubby’s head is cold, so Kami provides a hat and scarf. Now bundled up, Flubby begins to enjoy the snow with Kami, who builds a snow cat. In the final scene, both Kami and Flubby are seated before a roaring fire, where Flubby can warm his ample tummy.
J.E. Morris has written an utterly delightful early reader, and Flubby is an adorable character. This is a wonderful book for any new reader who loves cats, lives in a snowy place, or just needs a good book to cuddle up with during a long winter night. Since this book is part of a series of books about Flubby, your new reader may just ask for more!
