Across the world, kids are summoning the Great Beasts, the most powerful animals on Erdas. There is a man hunting the legendary beasts, and one side must fulfill their destiny and win. If the wrong side wins, the world will perish.

Tales of the Fallen Beasts (Spirit Animals: Special Edition) by Brandon Mull is another in the Spirit Animals series of books. This book is exciting and fast-paced. The author’s writing is very descriptive and written from a narrator’s point of view. The animals sometimes act like human beings but they always have their animal instincts and nature so their behavior is a little unpredictable. The animals are loyal to their masters.

If you are a fan of the Spirit Animals series, you will not want to miss this book. If you are not familiar with the series, this may not be the best introduction to it as the book makes a lot of references to the other books. This book would be good for readers ages 9 to 11 who like animal and adventure stories.
